Time To VolunteerEvery counselor has a unique story as to why he or she pursued this profession. We advocate for our clients and students, and this is our opportunity to advocate for ourselves and the profession. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization, and we need you! As an active member of the North Carolina Counseling Association, there are ample opportunities to encourage the development of the counseling profession while promoting professional identity. Become a Board MemberThe North Carolina Counseling Association is always looking for highly motivated individuals that are seeking to promote the development of the counseling profession. The board terms are for one (1) year, running from July to June. Currently the board has 1 board call a month in an evening, and meets in person twice a year. All positions are a yearly commitment and for the Executive Committee, elections are held early Spring for the new term starting in July. Overall Board Member Responsibilities:
