Dr. Kylie Dotson-Blake
National Board for Certified Counselors,
President & Chief Executive Officer
 

Dr. Kylie Dotson-Blake serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and Affiliates, which includes the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) and the NBCC Foundation (NBCCF).

Dotson-Blake is a native of eastern North Carolina. Previously, she was a professor and Counselor Education program coordinator at East Carolina University in Greenville. She received her master’s degree in counselor education from ECU and her doctorate in counselor education from The College of William and Mary.

NCCA Seeks Candidates for Office

The Governing Council of the North Carolina Counseling Association is seeking volunteers interested in assuming leadership roles for the 2026-2027 term (July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027). This year, NCCA is seeking candidates for the following offices:

  1. President-Elect-Elect
  2. Member-at-Large (2-year commitment)

Qualified candidates must be a member in good standing with both NCCA and ACA. If you would like to run for an office or nominate someone (with permission), please submit the following information by January 5, 2026 using the online form at the button link below.

Elections for NCCA officers will be held February 5 through February 15, for the 2026-27 term. Officers for these leadership roles will be notified at the NCCA conference in February 2026.
